Vision House
A full-room, bathroom-mural, created in partnership with Artisans with Heart, Seattle Washington.
Artisans with Heart, is a select group of Seattle artists who have agreed to donate their talents to fitting organizations that could otherwise not afford original artwork. Most projects are murals painted in the children’s areas of Vision House, a Seattle-area non-profit committed to aiding homelessness.
Since 2005 Schmitt has completed various projects with this group. One project, competed in 2006, received national media coverage as part of the ABC Television Network program Home Team.
Most recently, in 2010, Schmitt returned to Seattle to lend her creative talents to a mural project at Camp Korey. Camp Korey at Carnation Farm is a program that brings the magic of camp to children living with serious and life- threatening illnesses.
Artisans with Heart projects have been organized mainly through Mozelle Spencer and her company Mozelle by Design. For more information about these Philanthropic projects please visit her website: http://www.mozellebydesign.com
